DescriptionThe great thing about open source is that while SparkFun has designed our own MicroMod carrier boards, that does not stop you from creating your very own MicroMod carrier board. The MicroMod DIY Carrier Kit includes five M.2 connectors(4.2mm height), screws, and standoffs so that you can get all the special parts you may need to make your own carrier board.MicroMod uses the common M.2 connector. This is the same connector found on modern motherboards and laptops. There are various locations for the plastic 'key' on the M.2 connector to prevent a user from inserting an incompatible device. The MicroMod standard uses the 'E' key and further modifies the M.2 standard by moving the mounting screw 4mm to the side. The 'E' key is fairly common so a user could insert a M.2 compatible Wifi module but because the screw mount doesn't align, the user would not be able to secure an incompatible device into a MicroMod carrier board.MicroMod is a modular interface ecosystem that connects a microcontroller "processor board" to various "carrier board" peripherals. Utilizing the M.2 standard, the MicroMod standard is designed to easily swap out processors on the fly. Pair a specialized carrier board for the project you need with your choice of compatible processor!

DescriptionKeypads are very handy input devices, but who wants to tie up seven GPIO pins, wire up handful of pull-up resistors, and write firmware that wastes valuable processing time scanning the keys for inputs? The SparkFun Qwiic Keypad comes fully assembled and makes the development process for adding 12 button keypad easy. No voltage translation or figuring out which I2C pin is SDA or SCL, just plug and go! Utilizing our handy Qwiic system, no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. However, we still have broken out 0.1"-spaced pins in case you prefer to use breadboard. Each of the keypad's 12 buttons has been labeled 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, *, and and has been formatted to into the same layout as telephone keypad with each keypress resistance ranging between 10 and 150 Ohms. The Qwiic Keypad reads and stores the last 15 button presses in First-In, First-Out(FIFO)stack, so you don't need to constantly poll the keypad from your microcontroller. This information, then, is accessible through the Qwiic interface. The SparkFun Qwiic Keypad even has software configurable I2C address so you can have multiple I2C devices on the same bus.NOTE:The I2C address of the Qwiic Keypad is 0x4B and is jumper selectable to 0x4A(software-configurable to any address). multiplexer/Mux is required to communicate to multiple Qwiic Keypad sensors on single bus. If you need to use more than one Qwiic Keypad sensor consider using the Qwiic Mux Breakout. The SparkFun Qwiic connect system is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. All Qwiic-enabled boards use common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. DescriptionThe Raspberry Pi 4 Hardware Starter Kit provides a solid set of parts and instruction for working with the Raspberry Pi 4 in a more hardware-centric manner. While the Raspberry Pi isn't typically considered a go-to for hardware projects, its I/O pins hold a lot of benefits that you can use for a variety of applications. This kit covers the basics like using LEDs, and Buttons while providing a solid set of parts for working with any other hardware I/O and the 40-pin header. In addition, we've included all the parts needed for getting the Raspberry Pi 4 up and running whether it's on its own, or using a monitor(not included). The new 64GB MicroSD cards keep read/write commands running super fast, too. Most of the contents of the kit rely on the use of the 2x20, 40-pin header, so we've included a special extender to allow you to plug in the ribbon cable while using the provided heatsink case. We've also included a Qwiic Shim for easily working with I2C based Qwiic boards with the Pi. No soldering is required for this kit!Note:This variation includes the 4GB RAM option for the Raspberry Pi 4.Get Started with the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Guide

DescriptionButtons are an easy and tactile way to interface with your project, but why would you want to deal with debouncing, polling, and wiring up pull-up resistors? The Qwiic Button with built-in green LED simplifies all of those nasty worries away into an easy to use I2C device! Utilizing our Qwiic Connect System, using the button is as simple as connecting cable and loading up some pre-written code!If you need multiple buttons for your project, fear not! Each button has configurable I2C address, so you can daisy-chain multiple buttons over Qwiic and still address each one individually. We've got an example in our Arduino library that provides super-easy way to configure your Qwiic Button to whatever I2C address you desire. You can download the library through the Arduino library manager by searching 'SparkFun Qwiic Button' or you can get the GitHub repo as .zip file and install the library from there. In addition to handling blinking and debouncing, the Qwiic Button has configurable interrupts that can be configured to activate upon button press or click. We've also taken the liberty of implementing FIFO queue onboard the Qwiic Button where it keeps an internal record of when the button was pressed. This means that code on your microcontroller need not waste valuable processing time checking the status of the button but instead can run small function whenever the button is pressed or clicked! DescriptionThe SparkFun Qwiic LED Stick features ten addressable APA102 LEDs, making it easy to add full color LED control using I2C. Write to individual LEDs to display a count in binary, or write to the whole strip for cool lighting effects. You can even add more LEDs to the end if you need to. We've written an Arduino library and Python package that take care of the I2C and communication to the LEDs so all you have to do is decide what color each LED should be.The LED Stick has a default I2C address of 0x23 but can be changed with a simple command, allowing you to control up to 100 LEDs(10 Qwiic LED Sticks)on a single bus! The address can also be changed to 0x22 by closing the solder jumper on the back of the board. This board is one of our many Qwiic compatible boards! Simply plug and go. No soldering, no figuring out which is SDA or SCL, and no voltage regulation or translation required!Warning:Using a lot of LEDs can draw a lot of current. Make sure to consider the power limits of your setup. If you expect your LED chain to draw more than 600mA of current, connect your external supply directly to VLED. Closing the jumper from VLED to VCC will add a 4.7uF decoupling capacitor. The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. DescriptionWe all like to know the temperature, right? Well, with the SparkFun TMP102 Digital Temperature Sensor, we've made it just about as easy as it gets. Based on the original Digital Temperature Sensor Breakout TMP102, we've added Qwiic connectors to bring this board into our plug-and-play Qwiic Ecosystem and added an address jumper instead of breaking out the address pin. However, we still have broken out 0.1"-spaced pins in case you prefer to use breadboard. The TMP102 itself is an easy-to-use digital temperature sensor from Texas Instruments. While some temperature sensors use an analog voltage to represent the temperature, the TMP102 uses the I2C bus of the Arduino to communicate the temperature. The TMP102 is capable of reading temperatures to resolution of 0.0625℃, and is accurate up to 0.5℃. The breakout has built-in 4.7kΩ pull-up resistors for I2C communications and runs from 1.4V to 3.6V. I2C communication uses an open drain signaling, so there is no need to use level shifting. The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. DescriptionThe SparkFun Qwiic Dual Solid State Relay is a power delivery board that allows users to switch two AC loads from a low power microcontroller using the SparkFun Qwiic connect system. The board features two 25A/250VAC solid state relays that utilize the Zero Cross Trigger method so you can toggle two loads on a 60Hz AC carrier signal on and off up to 120 times per second! An ATTiny84 acts as the "brain" of the SparkFun Qwiic Dual Solid Relay to accept I2C commands to toggle the two relays as well as a few other special commands. The I2C address of the ATtiny84A is software configurable so, if you have a seriously big power project in mind, you could daisy chain over 100 Qwiic Dual Solid State Relays.Messing with such high voltage is dangerous! We've included many safety precautions onto the PCB including ground isolation between the relay and other circuitry and a milled out area isolating each side of AC. However, with all the safety precautions included with the SparkFun Qwiic Dual Solid State Relay, this is still a power accessory for users who are experienced around, and knowledgeable about high AC voltage. If you're not comfortable with handling AC voltage in this way, you may want to check out the IoT Power Relay instead.Note:The relays are rated for a max of 25A with forced air cooling. If you do not have forced air cooling, 10A max through the relays is recommended. The SparkFun Qwiic connect system is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. DescriptionGet with the times, already! This SparkFun Real Time Clock(RTC)Module is a Qwiic-enabled breakout board for the RV-1805 chipset. The RTC is ultra-low power(running at only about 22nA in its lowest power setting)so it can use a supercapacitor for backup power instead of a normal battery. This means you get plenty of charge and discharge cycles without any degradation to the "battery." To make it even easier to get your readings, all communication is enacted exclusively via I2C, utilizing our handy Qwiic system so no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. However, we still have broken out 0.1"-spaced pins in case you prefer to use a breadboard. This RTC module's built in RV-1805 has not one, but two internal oscillators:a 32.768kHz tuning fork crystal and a low power RC based oscillator and can automatically switch between the two using the more precise crystal to correct the RC oscillator every few minutes. This feature allows the module to maintain a very accurate date and time with the worst case being +/- about three minutes over a year. The RV-1805 also has a built in trickle charger so as soon as the RTC is connected to power the it will be fully charged in under 10 minutes and has the ability to switch power to other systems allowing it to directly turn on or off a power hungry device such as a microcontroller or RF engine. There is also the option to add a battery to the board if the supercapacitor just isn't going keep your project powered long enough(keep in mind, the supercap can hypothetically make the board keep time for around 35 days), you can solder on an external battery. That means you can let board sit with no power or connection to the outside world and the current hour/minute/second/date will be maintained.Note:The I2C address of the RV-1805 is 0x69 and is hardware defined. A multiplexer/Mux is required to communicate to multiple RV-1805 sensors on a single bus. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. This reduces the amount of required PCB space, and polarized connections mean you can't hook it up wrong.Get Started With the Thing Plus RP2040 Hookup GuideFeaturesSparkFun Thing Plus - RP2040 FeaturesRaspberry Pi Foundation's RP2040 microcontroller16MB QSPI Flash MemoryJTAG PTH PinsThing Plus(or Feather)Form-Factor:18[1]x Multifunctional GPIO Pins[2]Four available 12-bit ADC channels with internal temperature sensor(500kSa/s)Up to eight 2-channel PWMUp to two UARTsUp to two I2C busesUp to two SPI busesUSB-C Connector:USB 1.1 Host/Device functionality2-pin JST Connector for a LiPo Battery(not included)500mA charging circuitQwiic ConnectorButtons:BootResetLEDs:PWR- Red 3.3V power indicatorCHG- Yellow battery charging indicator25- Blue status/test LED(GPIO 25)WS2812- Addressable RGB LED(GPIO 08)Four Mounting Holes:4-40 screw compatibleDimensions:2.3"×0.9"RP2040 General FeaturesDual Cortex M0+ processors, up to 133 MHz264 kB of embedded SRAM in 6 banks6 dedicated IO for QSPI flash, supporting execute in place(XIP)30 programmable IO for extended peripheral supportSWD interfaceTimer with 4 alarmsReal time counter(RTC)USB 1.1 Host/Device functionalitySupported programming languagesMicroPythonC/C++1.Note:GPIO 08is not included in this count, as it passes through the WS2812 addressable RGB LED first.GPIO 07andGPIO 23are counted as a single GPIO because they are tied together.2.Note:The GPIO pins are programmable so you can reconfigure the pins! DescriptionThe SparkFun Line Follower Array is a long board consisting of eight IR sensors that have been configured to read as digital bits! We have designed the SparkFun Line Follower Arrays to follow a dark line of about 3/4 inch width or smaller(spray paint or electrical tape)on a light background. Each array features visible LEDs that point upward when the board is attached(properly)so you can see what the robot sees, brightness control right on the board, and an I2C interface for reading and power control. Here at SparkFun, the RedBot Shadow Chassis was used as a test platform but really this was designed as an add-on for almost any bot.The line follower functions by taking an 8-bit reading of reflectance for use with following lines or reading dark/light patterns and can see from about 1/4 to 3/4 inches away. The IR brightness control and indicator can be adjusted with the on-board potentiometer and is capable of showing you the strength of the IR LEDs. Illumination can be turned on and off with software to conserve power, or left on all the time for faster readings. The SparkFun Line Follower Array requires 5V of power with a supply current range of 25-185mA with strobing disabled and 16-160mA with it enabled. Additionally we have added six mounting holes to the line follower with the two inner holes designed to fit our Shadow Chassis while the other four are general purpose.Note:As you know our Sun emits quite a bit of infrared light, making the SparkFun Line Follower Array much less effective in direct sunlight. Plan your projects accordingly!Features8 sensor eyes(QRE1113, like in our line sensor breakout)I2C interfaceAdjust IR brightness on the fly with a knobSwitch IR on and off with softwareSwitch visual indicators on and off with softwareInvert dark/light sight with softwareBased on the SX1509 I/O expander

DescriptionA lot of the time you just need to add more analog inputs to solve a problem. It happens. The SparkFun Qwiic 12 Bit ADC can provide four channels of I2C controlled ADC input to your Qwiic enabled project. These channels can be used as single-ended inputs, or in pairs for differential inputs. What makes this even more powerful is that it has a programmable gain amplifier that lets you "zoom in" on a very small change in analog voltage(but will still effect your input range and resolution). Utilizing our handy Qwiic system, no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. However, we still have broken out 0.1"-spaced pins in case you prefer to use a breadboard. The ADS1015 uses its own internal voltage reference for measurements, but a ground and 3.3V reference are also available on the pin outs for users. This ADC board includes screw pin terminals on the four channels of input, allowing for solderless connection to voltage sources in your setup. It also has an address jumper that lets you choose one of four unique addresses(0x48, 0x49, 0x4A, 0x4B). With this, you can connect up to four of these on the same I2C bus and have sixteen channels of ADC. The maximum resolution of the converter is 12-bits in differential mode and 11-bits for single-ended inputs. Step sizes range from 125μV per count to 3mV per count depending on the full-scale range(FSR)setting. We have included an onboard 10K trimpot connected to channel A3. This is handy for initial setup testing and can be used as a simple variable input to your project. But don't worry, we added an isolation jumper so you can use channel A3 however you'd like.Note:The I2C address of the ADS1015 is 0x48 and is jumper selectable to 0x49, 0x4A, 0x4B. A multiplexer/Mux is required to communicate to multiple ADS1015 sensors on a single bus. If you need to use more than one ADS1015 sensor consider using the Qwiic Mux Breakout. The SparkFun Qwiic connect system is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. DescriptionThe SparkFun NEO-M9N GPS Breakout is a high quality GPS board with equally impressive configuration options including SMA. The NEO-M9N module is a 92-channel u-blox M9 engine GNSS receiver, meaning it can receive signals from the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou constellations with ~1.5 meter accuracy. This breakout supports concurrent reception of four GNSS. This maximizes position accuracy in challenging conditions increasing, precision and decreases lock time; and thanks to the onboard rechargeable battery, you'll have backup power enabling the GPS to get a hot lock within seconds! Additionally, this u-blox receiver supports I2C(u-blox calls this Display Data Channel)which makes it perfect for the Qwiic compatibility so we don't have to use up our precious UART ports. Utilizing our handy Qwiic system, no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. However, we still have broken out 0.1"-spaced pins in case you prefer to use a breadboard. The NEO-M9N module detects jamming and spoofing events and can report them to the host, so that the system can react to such events. A SAW(Surface Acoustic Wave)filter combined with an LNA(Low Noise Amplifier)in the RF path is integrated into the NEO-M9N module which allows normal operation even under strong RF interferences.U-blox based GPS products are configurable using the popular, but dense, windows program called u-center. Plenty of different functions can be configured on the NEO-M9N:baud rates, update rates, geofencing, spoofing detection, external interrupts, SBAS/D-GPS, etc. All of this can be done within the SparkFun Arduino Library! The SparkFun NEO-M9N GPS Breakout is also equipped with an on-board rechargeable battery that provides power to the RTC on the NEO-M9N. This reduces the time-to-first fix from a cold start(~24s)to a hot start(~2s). The battery will maintain RTC and GNSS orbit data without being connected to power for plenty of time. This product requires an antenna:Be sure to check out the related products/hookup accessories and pick a suitable SMA antenna for your project. The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields and cables that make prototyping faster and less prone to error. DescriptionThe SparkFun ZOE-M8Q GPS Breakout is a high accuracy, miniaturized, GPS board that is perfect for applications that don't possess a lot of space. The on-board ZOE-M8Q is a 72-channel GNSS receiver, meaning it can receive signals from the GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo constellations. This increases precision and decreases lock time and thanks to the onboard rechargable battery you'll have backup power enabling the GPS to get a hot lock within seconds! Additionally, this u-blox receiver supports I2C(u-blox calls this Display Data Channel)which made it perfect for the Qwiic compatibility so we don't have to use up our precious UART ports. Plenty of different functions can be configured on the ZOE-M8Q:baud rates, update rates, geofencing, spoofing detection, external interrupts, SBAS/D-GPS, etc. All of this can be done within the SparkFun Arduino Library. We've also made sure to configure the UART pin grouping on the breakout to an industry standard to insure that it easily connects to a Serial Basic. The SparkFun ZOE-M8Q GPS Breakout is also equipped with an on-board rechargeable battery that provides power to the RTC on the ZOE-M8Q. This reduces the time-to-first fix from a cold start(~30s)to a hot start(~1s). The battery will maintain RTC and GNSS orbit data without being connected to power for up to five hours. Since the ZOE-M8Q is a tiny GPS receiver and to minimize its footprint, we've added a U.FL connector to allow the use of both large standard ceramic antennas as well as very small chip scale antennas.Note:The I2C address of the ZOE-M8Q is 0x42 and is software configurable.
